Tickle Monster (2008) - Plot & Excerpts

Tickle Monsterby author Josie Bissett This book holds a very close second as my favorite children's book. (Cozy Classics being first) I was so in love with it the first time I read it while watching a friend’s four year old son that I read it every time i was over there from then on. The tickle monster in this book is completely silly. He says his job is to make the whole world happy and boy does he do that job well. If you as an adult are not giggling by the time you are done this book then you are doing it wrong. One reader mentioned not to use this book right before bed and I agree. It will have your child squirming all over your lap. I would not suggest this book for a classroom. I think that the book was more likely written for parent child interaction. Wonderful present for any two to five year old and their parents. This book is so cute! I loved all of the illustrations and the rhymes are adorable. The monster and his lovies are so cute, it makes me sick. Christopher was asleep when I opened it last night, so I read it by myself. I found myself smiling at the cute rhymes and pictures. I can't wait to read this with Chris! I was pleasantly surprised, when I opened the book and found it was signed, too. I loved Jane on Melrose Place! ;-)
