Un Corazón Por Conquistar (2013) - Plot & Excerpts
Tiffany Warren has been separated from her father (and brothers) since she was a very small child, living with her mother in New York. Now she is eighteen and time for her to travel to Montana and marry Hunter Callahan. The Warrens and the Callahans have been enemies for about fifty years and it is hopeful that the wedding will put an end to the feud. So once she is there, she is mistaken for the housekeeper, Jennifer Fleming, that was coming to work for Tiffany's father, Frank Warren. The Callahans have decided to "steal" the housekeeper and have her work for them instead. Tiffany seizes the opportunity to get to know her future husband and goes to work for the Callahans. It really wasn't a bad story and was pretty good in parts but the story failed to truly grab me and I found myself wanting to put it down a lot. I was more interested in the side story of why Rose left Frank than the love story between Hunter and Tiffany. But as I said it really wasn't too bad and I don't regret reading it and I would recommend it to someone looking for a decent Western Romance. I listened to this on cd. The narrator did okay. I was able to distinguish between the characters, but she doesn't come across to well with the voices for men. I don't read too many books that I would consider western romance, but I did enjoy this one. Tiffany was very strong willed and I did like her. I liked the idea of her taking on another's identity to get to know her betrothed. I loved Hunter. He was very charming. All in all, I really enjoyed it.
What do You think about Un Corazón Por Conquistar (2013)?
One sex scene was the shortest in the history of romance novels. None-the-less, classic Lindsey.
