I found the plot intriguing, however the first 65 pages of the book I felt as though I was reading the second book in the series and not the first. There was quite a bit of unspoken backstory that wasn't explained until much later in the book. The author does an excellent job writing her male characters, however I had a difficult time becoming attached to the female lead. Overall a good story and I feel there's enough of a spark to give book #2 a try. Not my kind of book. The back cover sounded interesting- a private eye who helps people disappear and who has awesome computer skills. None of this happened in the book. All I read was a sorta cheesy romance. :( Alex, the main character, had too many issues- she's not that smart for a private eye- shouldn't she at least be familiar with the way to collect evidence/ know how cases work in a police station? Just not good.
What do You think about Untraceable (2009)?
I like this series. If you like forensic type stories this is good. Nice love interest as well.
