Lacks depth. Main character Alexa isn't anything awesome. Actually her inner thoughts are just superficial. She had no depth. Noah.. Well I like that he's photographer .. And that's about it. The dialogue between the two is juvenile and repetitive. I like reading serials from authors I haven't read before so that I don't have to endure any lengthy books in the future if I don't like their style. Oh. It makes me sad giving this low of a rating but the story just lack a lot on everything. The plot is not solid, almost close to lame characters as well as the build up of their characters, the phasing left me rolling my eyes numerous times and the list goes on and on. Though I must say this has the potential of something more solid given the fact that the author has given more depth on the two main characters. I'm even more intrigued by the yet to arrive character of Beck. I bet the whole trilogy couldbe squeezed in one book. Why is this kind of writing becoming a trend? A 90+ page book with a huge cliffhanger then another 100+ book... Guess I really have to get through with the trilogy asap. See I'm still patronizing it because I have issues with unfinished book or trilogy.
This was a well written novella. If you are looking for a quick good read this is it!
