Ya know. . the blurb sounded really cute and even tho the title was crap I thought give it a go. . wow its not just the title. At first I thought it was just suffering from a slow start then I realized I was halfway in and still felt bored! You should never be bored while reading! ! I didn't even have a clear picture of what the characters looked like until the 3/4 thru the book and even then it was still only partially clear. My brain had to do a lot of filling in work...The mc suffered from anxiety which was semi well done but it was hard to see where vincent's shyness ended and true anxiety began. The mc ' s just interacted with eachother strangely. They didn't have a strong obvious chemistry. At times even a little uncomfortable. Then I felt like we get through the whole book. . the thanksgiving day meal etc and end up with what? seriously... I'm actually asking bc it ended like: BOOM The End. That's it. no wrap up no clues as to their future. .. NOTHING. The only thing I can say is that the book was edited well. No name screw ups or anything. :-/ I really liked this Thanksgiving story and Vincent was so sweet, shy and charming I wanted to hug the stuffing out of him. I definitely would have given it an additional star if it were either shortened to short-story length or lengthened to at least a full novella. Just when the connection happened it was over so I couldn't fully swoon over any HEA and this story had a lot of swoon potential. I would love to read about their relationship as it grows. I love the thought of all the "moments" these two would have.
