Worthy Of Redemption (2013) - Plot & Excerpts

I don't even know how long it's been since I read Accidentally on Purpose that was one of those books that even after a long time you never forget. I found that by accident just yesterday that there was a sequel and I kicking myself for not checking before. Worthy of Redemption was absolutely beautiful and it give the peace of mind I did not get by the end of AoP. I have to say that even when the end of AoP made total sense, I always felt for Kyle, he is one of those characters that regardless of his complexities is hard not to love and if I loved in AoP I absolutely adored him on WoR. The end of this story could not been any better. Thanks. L.D. Lewis this was such and amaizing story, excellent job. I know this book was published last year but since I just found it, it goes straight to my favorites 2014 shelf. At the end of Accidently on Purpose (AOP), the only emotion I had left for Kyle was pity. Sure, at times he was charming and even sweet, but this man was a real mess. I understood why Kyle did not trust himself with Lily, as he all but destroyed Emmy. By all rights, the man should have been in jail for his actions. With Lily being Emmy’s employee, you would have thought, Lily would have stayed far away from Kyle and certainly not given her fragile heart to him. The liaison between Lily and Kyle wasn’t as dysfunctional as his relationship was with Emmy, but still, it was not healthy. This story is told from both Kyle and Lily’s POVs. These two each had their own struggles; Kyle with his past demons and addictions and Lily with grief and sorrow. This book filled in some of the missing pieces from the first book and gave the readers a view of Kyle’s upbringing, which was not a pretty picture. As the story went on, I could feel the love Kyle was feeling towards Lily, but I also knew his heart still belonged to Emmy. Even at the end, I still had had my doubts. I can’t say I liked this book as well as the first book. For one thing, I did not like that this book had some similar storylines to the 1st book, such as having Lily working for Kyle and the unexpected pregnancy. At times the plot dragged on and I found myself skimming over some of the pages. Now, in the bedroom, this couple was anything but boring, as the author kicked up quite a few notches from APO. There was even a squirting scene, which was something that definitely got my attention. Lily’s love finally helped Kyle find some redemption and he did turn his life around, but he still was not the type of man, I would want my daughter to bring home.
