Simple, honest and touching !A story of great suffering and endurance. The language is simple and plain, yet sensitive and emotional. These words are able to convey the pain, isolation, dreams and hopes of the man who seems to fell on an inescapable doom. His relation with the goats is the one thing which keep him sane and alive.I would say there is rustic charm in this story.I have lived with migrant workers in Gulf for a brief period of one month(those where in better condition with good facilities)during this period I have witnessed some of there loneliness and pain, hence I think this is much above insufferable limit.Since this is a real life story I think his return to life is a miracle of God/his endurance/or his love of life. Truly it is a motivational story. This is also a story where dream meet reality ! Raw reality !I rate this book 4/5. this is a terrific tale of Najeeb and his hardship in the Gulf. i couldn't put down the book once i started reading. i was anxious to know how he endured the toil. i could only imagine what other worse things can happen. we are largely unaware of plight of many others. in any case, this is story of hope and that one not give up in any circumstance. regd the book itself, it was a simple and easy read. i think Benyamin/Joseph were able to capture the story so beautifully and sincerely. it is very small book and if one gets intrigued with Najeeb's story initially, one would finish reading it in few hours. i recommend this work.
