I did this book a disservice by reading it so long after reading the other volumes. Several of the characters I had forgotten about or lost my investment in. That being said, the vast majority of the characters are developed very well in the collection so that the events manage to have their emotional toll. This isn't all about happy endings; people die, and not all of them seem like they should. Bode/Dodge has the keys and he knows his goal, and the rest of the Locke family is unprepared for his strike. Most of the book is one major action sequence, with tension running high and unexpected things happening throughout. The epilogue closes everything down, and resolves the story well, with some very touching moments. There's a quote on the back calling this series the new Sandman. While I wouldn't say it's that powerful, it is a very strong series, beautiful and dark and violent and deep. And ultimately, fulfilling. As a whole, I would be this comic book series (comprised of 6 volumes) at the top of the heap. Just a cool, interesting horror story that kept you guessing, kept you enthralled and kept you interested in this pretty interesting idea. Hats off to Joe Hill, who can now remove the cloak of Stephen King's son. He's in a league of his own, which I'm assuming why he chose a pseudonym. Fantastic art. Fantastic dialogue. Just a great story from start to finish. If you're a comic book enthusiast looking for something to do this winter or holiday season for that matter, check this out. Highly recommended.
What do You think about Alpha & Omega (2014)?
I was really surprised at how much I liked this series. I usually don't go for horror.

Incredible. One of the best comics I've ever read.
