The first book in this series was interesting. I would have to say while some parts were a bit slow...the author was able to keep the story flowing and continued to keep the reader engaged. I'm half-way through book two. I do however believe I will take a small break from the series after I finish book two and move on to something else. I will revisit and complete the series at some point. (Btw..The book covers for vol 1 & 2 on goodreads are opposite of what is listed on the amazon kindle editions.) This book really rates up closer to a 5 than a 4. First off the writing was awesome. I love how it is written in short chapters. If I "need" to stop, it gives me the chance to stop at the end of a chapter vs in the middle. I love how each chapter continues EXACTLY where the previous chapter ended. You will be surprise when you look at your kindle percentage and be like "WOW" I am already at 80%.. The story is fast pace without leaving anything out.Second off. Great Character writing and Love the main characters name, Jennifer :) There are several volumes of this story and I am anxious to see how Ms. Ross continues this story without it going dull.
This whole series I read through one night into the next day! Its the best Ive read in a long time!
