She's got some integrity and I was actually proud her, despite the fact that she over-reacted a tad. So she moves on gets a real job and doesn't answer his calls and deletes his vmails, hoping to forget this dude.I am not a fan of instalove books, so 4 stars. The conversation between J and Immaculatta are priceless! Ms. Blackwell is like a Manhattan version of Edna Mode from The Incredibles. HystericalThis is part 1 of a long series of novels... so no happy ending yet. No sex in this one either, but there's a reason and it's part of a build up. I liked the pacing, but would have liked to understand more about what was happening in their relationship once they got back to together ...this kind of got glossed over and I like to read detail about that kind of thing... for example, who calls whom and when...is he pursuing her or vice versa or is it equal? She's got insecurities so to me it makes sense to learn more about what happens.I have high hopes for the next books. 3 It's too long but I want to know what happens stars! This story is 50 shades minus the BDSM. Alex, Broken billionaire...check. Jennifer, Smart and ambitious 20-something girl that is gorgeous but has no idea how pretty she is...check. Best friend that is her voice of reason..check. contracted romance..check. Some kind of mystery building beyond the odd romance..check. This edition of the story stops before anything gets too naughty so it reads more like 50 Shades-Young Adult style. I will keep reading with tons of skimming over the detailed fashion and shopping expeditions(and I like fashion but this is tedious stuff) just to see how this continues to play out. I bet I can guess but I'm looking forward to the car chase, the helicopter ride and the expensive mansion just for them. No, I have not read ahead that is all just a guess.
