Not so divoon this time.Vol 3 of who knows how many at this point.There's multiple attempts on J's life, A's life, hospitalizations, injuries, a daring red dress, a bitch slap and a prospective love interest for Lisa, which spins off into its own series.J finally figures out she she's in love and we get more of the delightful Blackwell.I dropped this a star because I had huge issues with the action at the end. How it all played out felt untrue given what we know about J... yes, she would want to follow A after he's kidnapped but to knee the body guard and engage in a shootout just seemed strange and awkward. I feel like something's missing here but can't put my finger on it. I was so happy that the author had Jennifer speak about how her behaviors in the book before were ridiculous, and she asked for Alex's forgiveness for how she acted. That was the main thing that made me give the 2nd book only 4 stars but in this book she has redeemed herself. I enjoyed reading about Tank and Lisa, I think they will make a great couple. I loved Jennifer wearing the red dress and how others at the party were watching her. I have to admit the whole confrontation with Immaculata was over the top to me, the whole slapping thing was so out of place and overkill. I liked all the action and drama in this book, thought it was so funny how all of a sudden Jennifer was Rambo, running, leaping over cars hoods, and wielding a gun lol I will say the ending dint surprise me, the only thing that was a little strange is Alex's assistant and family moving with them to the remote location, why did this happen???? Looking forward to the next book to see what else Christina has planned for our loving couple.
