This review is for all four books. Ok, so having read the twelve books on the Saga of Darren Shan, and having thoroughly enjoyed them, it was time to see where it all began for Darren's would be master and mentor, Larten Crepsley. On the whole I found all four books enjoyable, but the third instalment took top billing for me. It was a fun and intriguing journey and enjoyable reading. I would rate the series as a whole at 3.5 stars; it was good, I enjoyed it, but I guess because, to a certain degree, you already know the outcome of certain situations that it was hard to feel any kind of suspense or surprise at some moments. If you have read the twelve Darren Shan books and enjoyed them, then I strongly recommend reading these four books on Crepsley. Final note: The title for the fourth book is awful. This was a tough saga to read,i've always been extremely fond of crepsley and seeing him suffer so much time after time was hard for me...that being said,i loved it,loved it because it got me more time with him,and I got a chance to understand him completely. I feel like I should read cirque du freak again, mainly because of him,but also because of a lot of other charcters whom I got to know more because of this prequel.
What do You think about Brothers To The Death (2012)?
I loved how this ended, and was just sad that it did.
