Not my favourite book in the series, but still good. It feels like the author came to this book and thought "I really need to start finishing up some plot points before the last book". So she wanted to tie-up two loose ends- Peyton and Mercy. Then she just put a storyline around that. I don't think it flowed well. It was like two stories mushed together. Yes there was lots of action and killing, but it would have been nice if the author could have taken her time a bit more. I was really sad to hear the 8th book is the last. I feel weird waiting the two months for the final book, when I read 7.5 of the books in a week and a half. Secret finally makes a choice between her two guys in this book. Even though I'm glad a decision was made, I'm devastated for the guy she had to break up with. I still don't know who I would have wanted her to end up with. They are both great. I do have a feeling that her mind might change (or be changed for her) since we still have one more book to go. I'm glad the author showed how Secret's experience with The Doctor really affected her in this one. I hope she gets her spark back, but not the killing one. I don't like Secret as a cold-hearted killer, no matter how bad-ass she is. I hope we get an amazing final book, with Holden and Desmond both surviving! Wow....just...Wow!! Another great book in the series. This is a very busy book, lots happening and lots of resolutions to old problems. I have been dreading the decision between Desmond & Holden for a while now. I think I always knew how it would play out, but seriously wasn't going to be happy either way since I love them both!! Definitely a little heartache. And then there is the last few pages of the book, gotta love an awesome cliffhanger...looks like things are going to be a bit crazy in the last book, but hey that's nothing unusual in Secret's world. ;-)Happy Reading!!
