The writing was great, and the characters were strong and engaging. The plot was good. It did what it had to do, but it didn't make me sit back and say, "Wow. The plot alone was gold." No. What stood out was the characters and writing to me.What I liked about this book is that through the events, Secret has finally learned to embrace herself in who she is. She no longer tries to find validation for where she belongs. That's it. I won't say anymore so as not to give anything else away. I really liked this book, and recommend it to other urban fantasy romance lovers. Too much talking and not enough shooting. Secret let too much happen because she liked the sound of her own voice. There is no way she should have let that alien pack of wolves encroach so far that they were able to hurt her and Desmond. She did the same thing with that Morgan chick in the last book. She let's too much stuff go, and focuses on the stuff that doesn't matter. But it was a good read...I was just frustrated.
OH, So Very Good!!! Whew! Shakin' things up! Review to come.....love this series!
