Jane and her two childhood friends inherit a magnificent mansion. It needs repairs before it can be sold, so of course a hunky carpenter comes into play. This story was just what I enjoy in a contemporary romance. Strong women and men characters, humorous, a little drama, but always no doubt of a happily ever after.Characters: B+ Likeable and believable characters. I enjoyed the dynamic of the big Irish family that was involved in every family member's personal business.Plot: B+ I liked the antiques and renovation of the great old house. I liked that it showed the value of a strong work ethic and good family relationships.Sexiness: B Lots of desire and a few hot scenes. I'm sorry to say I didn't like this read. The entire story was rather disappointing and oh-so predictable. Not one original notion to the entire story-line. I particularly didn't like Jane Kaplinski, the female lead. That woman has some weird hang-ups and she can't handle a healthy relationship when one is presented. It's all very Deja-vu, and boring.I remember a time - long ago - when this author used to be fresh-sounding and original.
