Ok, lets start off with saying this book was HOT. It was action packed and kept me entertained. I'm not going to lie though, there were a few spots that had me back track on how much I loved this read. One was particularly gross! Belly buttons... um NO. Looking back its funny now that it stood out to me so much. You got the Oh my factor on that one. I also thought this book might be a twilight rerun at first, but you quickly proved me wrong. Overall great read and I look forward to reading the next books in the series. I have to agree with other reviewers at the lack of originality on certain aspects and traits of the vampires. But I also think it was still entertaining and decently written, certainly potential here. Could have been edited a little better. But I was looking for something light while convalescing and this worked well. Revised - 9/8/14On retrospect, having finished the series, my review did not give this author credit enough. Damon was pretty good, not my favorite, but trust me Gabelman is just getting started. Hope you give this series a chance - I ended up loving it.
