Duncan (The Protectors Series) Book #3 (2013) - Plot & Excerpts
This one lifted the series up imo. Duncan is the leader of the VC warriors. He has been searching for Pam -a half breed -who disappeared after helping them with a group of rogue half breeds-their leader Pam's ex Kenny. Pam has a lot of issues-dealing with being raped and abused, and of course her surprising little guy. There is also Jill and Slade rising sexual tension, can't wait to get their story. Also, Tessa is a bit insecure being a lowly human, not fulfilling all Jared's vampiric needs. Deep subject matter, but at the heart is Duncan's love for Pam - him wanting her to be happy and heal the woman she has become. Duncan, the leader of the VC Warriors has not been himself since the woman that he loves has left without a trace. As Duncan tries to cope with her disappearance. He has withdrawn from the other Warriors, not eating like he should and has kind of left his work to pile up on his desk. He did not tell her that he loved her and wanted her to be his Mate. As time continues to go by he starts to think he might never get the chance.Pam disappeared to keep the people that she loves safe from her deranged ex boyfriend, Kenny. She is also hiding from him fearing for her life. Kenny has done unthinkable things to her causing her to not believe in herself making her feel as though she not a woman. The only positive thing that Kenny did, will remain a secret if Pam has anything to do with it.Once news of Pam’s whereabouts Duncan can not get to her fast enough. He will do anything to prove that she is his and only his, that he loves her like no other. And will do whatever means are necessary to keep her safe. Pam having endured so much abuse has a hard time accepting that she is woman enough for Duncan. She tries to run every chance she has so that she will not be in the way of Duncan’s happiness.Amazing series. Absolutely love how the author was able to bring all the other characters to life but not lose the story in the process. So looking forward to Sid’s book. I do believe he stole the show in this book. I can only imagine what lady will steal Sid’s heart.

It was good overall, but a pre-reader would have caught some of the easily fixable mistakes.
