De Tovenares (2009) - Plot & Excerpts

Are the legends of Nicholas Flamel true? This book The Sorceress by Micheal Scott, has a suspenseful story line by using the characters and events to show what is about to come. Another element is the way the writer builds up the characters relationships and there meaning to each other, for example: Josh's sister has her powers awakened by this strange God, Josh has to get used to being jealous of his sisters power and he has come to realize that he doesn't need to protect his sister because she can already protect him. The last element is based on the way the writer shows the reader how the characters have to get used to there new lives and find there way, the writer shows this buy having the characters meet Nicholas and live with him, they also have to get used to having magic in there lives and being chased buy different creatures and hunters while also protecting themselves. So, in conclusion this book gives off good vibes with all the different elements, characters, and events. Hope the readers will enjoy. Again with the characters! Must we meet a new batch in every book? I'm glad that the author keeps wanting to expand the world of the book, but I feel like he's doing it too fast. Just when I had started to get warmed up to Joan and Francis, I was introduced to Palomedes and Shakespeare. They weren't terrible characters, they were simply kind of annoying. I eventually got a little bit attached to Shakespeare, but I don't like him as much as I like the earlier characters. As for Gilgamesh, I found his appearance to be underwhelming. His insanity was greatly exaggerated; in fact, I wouldn't even call him 'insane', more like 'batty'. Furthermore, nothing about him indicated that he had once been a king. He didn't make much of an impact on me at all.So, why did I give this book four stars? First of all, I loved the battle scenes. When Cernunnos and the Wild Hunt fought the Gabriel Hounds, I was reminded of the battle in Hekate's Shadowrealm in the first book. It was so epic! I also liked the second major battle, when the twins used their water magic to defeat Cernunnos. The author knows how to write scenes that get your heart pumping!Second of all, I appreciated the sibling bond at the center of this story. Even though Sophie is two magics ahead of Josh and has more knowledge than him, they still see each other as equals. No matter what sort of craziness Nicholas drags them into, they will always care for each other. That really warms my heart. Finally, the book ended on a massive cliff hanger! John Dee now has both Excalibur and Clarent, and somebody named the "Ancient of Days" has shown up. Who is he? Who's side is he on? I'm definitely looking forward to finding out in the next book!

What do You think about De Tovenares (2009)?

This book's genre is fantasy because it includes events that can never happen in real life. I rated this book five stars because it was descriptive of all the events that made me feel like I was in the book. What happens in the book is that Josh and Sophie learn the magic of water. The Sorceress Pernelle Flamel escapes Alcatraz when the immortals Niccolo and Billy the Kid go and try to kill her. Dee finally gets all four swords of power and becomes utalglu which means to be hunted so he there are many creatures after him for the reward of his capture. Scaticath and Joan de Arce trigger a trap that Niccolo has set at a leygate sending them to a shadowrealm, trying to save Perenlle. I you want to find out more I suggest that you read the book. I would suggest this book for anyone who is into science fiction, fiction or fantasy. If you are into autobiographies this is not your type of book.

The Sorceress is one of the best books I've ever read. This book is like the book I've wanted to read with anger, joy, sadness, and a Sci-Fi a loving book for the fantasy readers to read. The types of genres I like to read is humor and fantasy and this book has a little imagination in it.I liked this book because it has a lot of facts and fantasy with Excalibur and Clarinet. At the begging The legendary twins were in Paris and going to Dee's Capital England then their journey in England. I'm recommending this book to fantasy loving readers wanting a little story of magic and spells stuck in a Evil filled city.
