The title, premise and of course the cover made me want to read this. Also it's like the second or third book I read that had one of the characters working at a bookstore and the mention of a beach or something like that. Anyway, this was really good, sad but good. You have stories revolving around Lolly, Kat, June and Isabel. I thought I'd like one story over the other. But no, with this I liked all their stories, especially June and Isabel. Although with Kat's I was thinking OMG will you talk with Oliver then with the whole marriage or no marriage thing. The writing style and descriptions, especially the movie nights was good. Soon as I got this, I started reading right away, wanting to know if it ends okay. A surprising, at times, frustrating but still really good read. Wow this was an emotionally charged read, I loved most all the characters but one the most Ambivalent character in the story was Kat, if ever there was someone you want to shack to wake up already, it's Kat, lolly's daughter. I hated what Ambivalent Kat does to Oli, I hope if there's a sequel that Oli is happily married with kids. This book had everything, love, infidelity being passed off as love (would never have cheated unless I loved the other person, really who says that) like that's supposed to make it better? Family reconnecting from tragedy, let's face it it had the mother load it hit the trifecta, and the best part they discussed my favourite movies, by Ms. Meryl Streep Recommend everyone read this book. I cried and cried....I know I'm a big baby.
What do You think about Der Sommer Der Frauen (2013)?
I loved this book... I'm surprised many people have only given it 3 stars. The story is brilliant.

It was okay. A beach read where there is no thinking involved and no expectation..
