1st let me say I read / listened to this book in audio format via audible.com. Even though I have this in eBook format too, I prefer to hear them in audio! Audio breaths life into a book. Audio offers us multiple voices, accents, proper pronunciations and loads of emotions & excitement! It is like listening to a movie, but better because we all know the book is always better! Audio also allows us to do other things and still get our reading in for the multi-taskers in us today! Meeting Destiny - Book 1 in the Destiny series. I enjoyed reading this book. I really like Lauren, the main character. For years Lauren has dreamed about a guy who says, I won't know you when you meet me, so you will have to tell me and make me believe you. it won';t be easy. I was so happy to see Lauren meet a really nice guy after getting shot in a robbery. Lauren has many different battles in this book & something is out to get her. The poor girl keeps landing back in the hospital. The ending completely shocked me (sorry, I am not going to spoil it). I will say I didn't see that coming. This book kept me on my toes and on the edge of my seat. The story itself is well written with an exciting plot. The narrator did a pretty good job with her different voices. The author is fantastic. All in all, I rate this 5 stars. I really did enjoy it! This is another book that I felt the actual development of the story took a back seat to how "connected" the main characters felt. This is from the blurb...'A mysterious clairvoyant seeks Lauren out and tells her not only of her life now but what the future may hold. Soon Lauren is in the middle of a murder investigation and a questionable friendship with the key suspect. Law enforcement, friends and family are concerned for Lauren but unfortunately they are unaware of the true danger…Sinister forces are at work and will stop at nothing to destroy Lauren’s abilities.'Ok, so i felt the mysterious clairvoyant just gave her a bunch of random info about mates and protectors and told her to figure it out. And after the first half of the book i didn't sense too much concern coming from her parents, her mom just seemed over it. And what is this about sinister forces? That sounds interesting I would have liked to read that.

Couldn't get into the book. Did finish it, but wasn't very thrilled with it.

It started out okay, but as it progressed, I realised it wasn't my thing.
