Driving With The Top Down (2014) - Plot & Excerpts
A story of 3 women with 3 different characters. End up together on a road trip with Colleen unexpectedly. Tamara, a problematic teenage girl and Bitty, a long gone girlfriend of Colleen with marriage tragedy, caused her to just end her life, commit suicide. By the road trip, everything changes, by mere coincidence or by chance, each of them been given a second thought, a second guessing about the lives that they're about to lose. The possibilities to make amend and trying to make a different and it happened in this road trip eventually. Good story, i love it. 3 star or probably 4. I enjoyed this book. Was just what I needed. Lifted my spirits. Stories about characters becoming better people and finding their place in this world are my favorite. I love an author who is not afraid of allowing their characters to end on a happy note. I did have a hard time reading Bitty's Suicide journal. The beginning was a little too real. I figured (hoped) it would turn out to just be a journal. And it did. Bitty found her place and her joy. Although this book was full of conveniences and improbable coincidences, the characters, to me, were very real, as were their insights. This book is a good read

A little too raunchy for my taste at times, but a fun story otherwise.
