When In Doubt, Add Butter (2012) - Plot & Excerpts
I liked this book. It was a quick read for me, but I just enjoyed it. I found the main character sassy and funny. I will admit that I saw everything that happened coming and thought the end was a little quick all the sudden and everything ending up happy was a little bit corny but I still enjoyed the book. I wasn't looking to read a classic or one that will become one but was wanting one that I could just enjoy reading, which I did. I'm not a huge fan of chick lit usually, but this was actually a pretty nice story, and I enjoyed it. I guessed most of the plot twists (but not all), but I enjoyed the writing and the characters, so it was a fun ride. Sometimes you just need a light, enjoyable book, and it's especially nice to have characters with discernibly distinct personalities instead of "stock characters." In other words, the characters felt more real to me than characters in this genre usually do. I just have one question... How did she get the gig with Mr. Tuesday if they'd never met? Seems to me like she interviewed clients before she took them on. Did I miss that?
What do You think about When In Doubt, Add Butter (2012)?
This is a cute read. The only bad thing about it was that every time I read it, I was hungry.
