Lucas and Sam are college roommates and Sam's mom refuses to let Lucas be alone for the holidays. Lucas and Nate, Sam's brother, are thrown together when they are forced to share a room together. They spend the next eight days and nights getting to know each other, intimately. Through that time you start to see how each needs to make changes to their lives and how much they need each other. It was a sweet story and I would love to revisit these characters. Lucas is roommates with brash jock Sam. At the holidays, Sam's mom invites Lucas to visit with the family instead of staying in the dorm by himself. Sam's brother, Nate, has an extra bed in his room so Lucas ends up bunking with the quiet, introspective man and realizes they have far more in common. Lucas and Nate almost immediately succumb to a mutual attraction and spend their days exploring NYC and their nights exploring each other. Since Nate is not interested in having a serious relationship, will this mean that Sam only gets eight nights with him? This a short story and did not have a strong plot. It was basically a whirlwind romance between two young men. It definitely interested me enough to pick up the next book in the series. I liked both young men and couldn't wait to see how their relationship would develop next.
What do You think about Eight Nights (2007)?
I kept waiting for something to happen... and then I got to the end.
