I'm still waffling about whether or not to get an e-reader. This is the first e-book I've read using Overdrive from the Cuyahoga County Public Library. I wanted to read the next book in this series so downloading it and reading it off the computer screen was the way to go. That isn't the easiest way to read but we persevered. This time around we center on family: the murder of the White House Chief Of Staff's wife and kidnapping of their baby daughter; a cold case involving Sam's father; a reappearance by Sam's mother; a new baby for Sam's sister; childbearing decisions for Sam and the same issue and return of Tinkerbelle a.k.a wedding planner Shelby Faircloth; and the move to adopt Scotty the orphan. We also have family issues for all the coworkers who've paired off around Sam and Senator Nick. By the way, is the White House in their future? A nice convoluted political thriller plot to go with the murder.Oh yeah and the sex gets a little kinkier. It might be just me but this series is getting sappier and more unbelievable plots in each book. So much sappier that in fact I could hardly stand Sam's character in this book. She has become cocky, full of herself and the things that used to make her likable are no longer there. Nick is turning out a bit too perfect and the "I love you so much it hurts", or "I don't know what I'd do without you if you" is growing entirely tiresome...
REALLY enjoyed this series. So happy to see she is continuing it. Next book due out 2014!
