Gardiens Des Cités Perdues (2014) - Plot & Excerpts
This book is something every teenager should read because it has many exciting event and is mind blowing in many different ways. In the story "Keeper of the Lost Cities" by Shannon Messenger, there are many different extraordinary things. Sophie, a 12 year old prodigy never fit in. She had no friends and everyone made, but most of all, she can read minds. A boy came a long named Fitz and told her she wasn't human, she's an elf. Sophie always thought she was different but she would never of thought she was that different. All these things that happened to Sophie are mind blowing. Sophie had to go to a different place and live with people she didn't know and say goodbye to her human family forever. In the book "Keeper of the Lost Cities" by Shannon Messenger, Sophie has many struggles in her young life. She goes through many hardships but in the end she looks back and sees that the things she went through were for a good reason. This book was disappointing in many different ways.-There were too many things going on at the same time, and later, *poof*, the author decides to forget about some of the conflicts.-The main character Sophie, she was not a heroine! An annoying, too perfect, crybaby brat if you ask me. She is so invincible, and keeps on learning these new abilities faster than all the students.-This book was almost a copycat of hmmmm..... Harry Potter? Did I hear the word wizards before? Witches? A Magic School like Hogwarts? Weird capes, or costumes, whatever they were? The chosen one? WOW. The only difference was that they were cute little elves.-The blurb on the back was so much more interesting than the book itself. If you like reading cheesy books about perfect girls who get everything they want, go ahead and read away! I ain't gonna stop you. But if you like real adventure books, don't buy this book and don't waste your money!
