When this series started I really wanted Heller and Tilly to end up as a couple. However now that we are 5 books in, I don't want that, I think that Tilly can do better. Heller seems to only think of himself in their relationship, treating Tilly like property. There were times when he acted like a dog pissing on his territory with Tilly, then later expected Tilly to accept him going out with other women. I loved it when Tilly pitched a fit when the later happened, letting Heller know in no uncertain terms what would happen if he went through with things.Tilly's jobs always seem to go off the rails, but this time it seemed to happen at every turn. There were times that Tilly and others should have been able to predict some of the bad things that were going to happen and prevent them, instead Heller had to swoop in and finish the rescue that Tilly started.Once again there were some sweet spots with Niq and Daniel with Tilly. I worry that this family that they are building will be ruined by choices that Heller makes, ones that will push Tilly too far.I do like that Tilly is back working at Heller's, although I don't like how the guys treat her, almost like a joke because of Heller. I'm hoping that will change. Unfortunately I didn't like this one as much as the others. I love the authors style of writing, but the story got a little silly in places and I absolutely hated Hellers attitude 99% of the time. We know he loves her but he is so controlling it makes my head spin and he won't even let her use the gym - wtf- but then tells her she needs to workout because it's showing she hasn't. Ugh. I'll stop here before I get on a rant but well done to JD Nixon because even though I've come away with a semi- negative view on this book it still brought up a passionate feeling within me. I will look forward to the next installment and hope that tilly finally gets some answers and some long lasting happiness. Ps can't wait for book 4 of little town!!!
