I'm not sure what happened with this book. I have loved every single other Heller book, but this one falls flat. The story seems to ramble and not have a story thread that lead you from the beginning of the story to the end. In past books, Tilly has security jobs and there is always chaos. In Heller's Regret, I felt like each job she was on didn't gel with each other or the overall story. They were broken and fragmented. Like a fingerprint, each author's voice is unique, and I can tell Nixon's from others. I felt like her voice was still there, but the book was written over a long period of time.I want to thank Nixon for putting her art and work into this world. If not for her, I would not know of Heller and I love his character. I'm going to chalk this one up to a head scratcher and bite my nails until #7 comes out. Well, Praise the lord. She finally grew a spine. Just for that three friggin stars.Like all the others, this book too was filled with hate fuelled activities towards Tilly and a non existent Heller. Your prime character is always missing. What's the point naming your bloody series after him. You should call it,'Tilly's near Misses' or 'Tilly's Lucky breaks'.Frankly, I'm fed up of not finding more to feed my appetite of Heller and the pair's chemistry. I sincerely hope she makes him grovel and that the next book is about them instead of just her.
