Those weird sounds that you heard recently was me yelling while reading this book. I found myself getting so frustrated with this book. I thought that Tilly did a good job on the jobs that she worked, loved the quiet times that Tilly spent with Niq learning his past and what he really thought about Tilly. What frustrated me was the relationship between Tilly and Heller!! I hardly know where to start with them because calling it dysfunctional is only the tip of the iceberg with them. At times there seems like there are some sort of boundaries, but then at others there are none. I found myself getting pissed at both of them for their actions, for not realizing what they were doing was wrong. It is due to this frustration that I will be checking out the next book, I want to know what happens to them next, will they figure things out, or will they somehow make things worse and finally explode. what the heck happened??? the first book was pretty good. It was funny and I loved Tilly. At this point, I do not like Tilly anymore like what the heck! She keeps cheating on Will and then later she finds out that Will was cheating on her so it was okay for her to be cheating on him. Since when was it okay to have a circle of cheating?? And then! she goes at Heller like, omg you're so hot omg and kisses him and stuff after telling Will that she is exclusive to him only. Um no. AND THEN HELLER has sex with Tilly's brother's wife. UM NO x2. While the book was still funny, everything is falling flat. There is nothing deep and mysterious anymore. It was a easy read and I didn't have a problem with it being boring. However, I just found myself constantly rolling my eyes. I started reading further (skimming book 3 and 4) and let me tell you. Those books basically had me going on an eye-rolling marathon! (not gunna spoil the fun for you readers) I can see how this may have fans because it's not boring and is pretty funny. It's just not my cup of tea. Probably not going to finish this series which is quite sad because it had a lot of potential from the first book. With all that said, I totally recommend the series: First grave on the right by darynda jones. It is sort of similar in the sense of being hilarious, but the first grave is much better and the male love interest is much hotter.
What do You think about Heller's Revenge (2000)?
I am starting to get really frustrated with the whole Tilly Heller thing.
