Lulu is excited to play, but Sam doesn't want to do anything that she wants to do. Their alter egos (Ladybug Girl and Bumblebee Boy) appear and they decide it is their destiny to safe the park. They are soon joined by Dragonfly Girl and Butterfly Girl and the Bug Squad is in action. Many fun days at the park are sure to follow!A great lesson in compromise and making friends. Children are sure to relate and welcome the imaginations of the young protagonists. This book suprised me a little. I liked that the kids worked out their differences and came together to play. I was tempted to edit the text slightly as I was reading it aloud. There were just a few words here and there that I wanted to change. (Ladybug girl not wanting to get dirt in her boots, Bumblebee boy being afraid of heights... stuff like that, and only because my cousin is too young to be afraid of things and I'd prefer he gets dirty boots every now and again.)
Love the imagination in this book and the "superheroes" that are not fighting but just having fun.

Shows how a child's imagination can run wild--a great thing!
