What to say about this book? It was 473 pages of goodness. The characters were loveable and interesting. There was some action and mystery, with a boatload of romance. I like that this book was not only a romance novel but also a slight thriller. This combination added more intrigue and substance to the story. The ending was anti-climactic, though. There was very little fighting and the villain was taken down relatively easily. Without a big ending fight, what was the point of Trace coming out of the shadows? The way things went down, it appears that Trace only showed himself to give Alice and Reese closure, since he ended up not being needed. Overall, I like the intertwining of characters from other books and other series, and I fully enjoyed the story. Beware, the story will engulf you and keep you from doing anything else but reading! I really liked it. All the previous characters from Run The Risk returned for a sting operation that involved human trafficking and drugs - Alice, Reese, Pepper, Logan, Rowdy, Dash, Lieutenant Margo Petersen. Of course, Dash and Rowdy will have their own tell all novel. Ms. Foster always leaves an opening for the next character to have their own tell all novel. Also, it is Ms Foster's trademark to make her leading men all alpha strong, sexy, sensual, and perfect; hence, all the female characters hindered with a troubled past, yet beautiful, sexy, sensual and perfect. This is a work of true fiction - e.g., perfect. However, being in love and lust can make anyone perfect. Nonetheless, I love the fact that Ms. Foster displayed the heroics of the law enforement and the good samaritans; hence, this work of fiction truly mirrors real life - not every cop is crooked and there are people who truly care and want to make a difference. Kudos to you Ms. Foster.
What do You think about O Segredo De Alice (2013)?
Love Logan and Rowdy's stories but this one was just slow for me.
