During December I like to take a break from my usual books and read fluffy Christmas stories. Nothing wrong with that, they are fun, frothy little snowflakes. Usually.Unfortunately, this isn't a Christmas story. It is a story which feels that the holiday connection is tacked on at the beginning and end. This story could take place anywhere at anytime. The Tiffany's connection could be any Tiffany's store in any city. I didn't get any feel of New York City at Christmastime. And again, it doesn't matter because this truly isn't a Christmas story. I feel somewhat cheated in that regard. So, as to the story. It sort of plods. There isn't any feeling of urgency which there truly should be from the plot. A very valuable ring has ended up in the wrong hands and yet, everyone pussy-foots around about it. And I didn't buy either of the happily ever-afters. Neither one felt authentic or even made much sense, probably because the author didn't build either relationship in a way that you could see any actual attraction, let alone the basis of a life together. It just didn't work for me.But, all that aside, I wish this one was better. I'm saddened that I didn't like it. The premise is fun, but the actual story is not. I was going between giving this book 2 and 3 stars, and ultimately decided on 2. It wasn't a bad book, but I just found the story a bit unrealistic and often found myself screaming "WHY DID YOU DO THAT? THAT WAS SO STUPID" at the characters. My favourite characters by far were Ethan and Daisy. I thought they were such a sweet little family. I also loved Terri, and I'm glad that the author gave her a happy ending.By far my least favourite character was Gary. I spent 99% of the book wanting to punch him in the face. I was delighted when Ethan finally got the chance to do just that. The author tried to make him look good at the end of the book but I'll never stop thinking he was an asshole.Anyways, enjoyed reading this book but would never even think of picking it up again.
What do You think about Prometo Amar-te (2012)?
Predictable chick read, but nothing wrong with that when your just needing a pick me up.

I couldn't finish reading this one. The unnecessary blaspheming put me off.

Really enjoyed it especially the twist in the story at the end.
