Richard Castle Presenta: Tempesta Mortale. Una Storia Di Derrick Storm (2011) - Plot & Excerpts
Ah Derrick Storm by "Richard Castle". A fictional story by a fictional author that is some how a real book. Like anybody else who has read this graphic novel, it was because I am a huge Castle fan. I love the show very much and and when i saw this book at the library I thought I would give it a shot. The novel follows Derrick Storm, a private investigator who gets tied up in a case a C.I.A agent, Clara Strike, is working on and has to help unravel the mystery. Now this is a short graphic novel so the story does not have many levels to, there are plot holes and lots of lose threads at the end but sadly, none of that really matters. This book isn't great and frankly I don't even think that was its purpose. All this book really does is gives the show Castle a level of realism and insight to Richard Castle. By releasing the book as they talk about it in the show, it makes Castle feel like a real guy. And it also shows you what Castle's writing style is like. Derrick Storm reflects Castle in many ways and you can see how the Castle wanted to live the life that Derrick Storm was living.Anyways, this was only an interesting read if you really enjoy the TV show Castle. If not, its probably not worth your time. I give this book a 2 star rating.P.S - I still really love the show and would give Castle a 5 Star rating :) Being a fan of the show, and falling in love with Marvel (at the time, now head over heels for it) I picked this up as soon as I saw it. I had picked up "Heat wave", but I don't even finish reading it. I think I read one chapter, and remember being disappointed. So needless to say I wasn't expecting too much. But I liked the look of the art, and I was curious.Imagine my surprise when I actually thoroughly enjoyed this book. I was just plain blown away with how good it was, and now I can't wait to read the next one. I recommend this for anyone who's a fan of the show, or even someone who's just into Marvel. Brain Michael Bendis is a master of his craft. read this!
