But none of that compared to the more worrisome news that Seth’s cover was compromised. Jerry spilled the beans. “You won’t believe this,” he exclaimed. “But we’ve caught one of the infamous spy models.” “Say again?” Anastasia looked up from her tray of cafeteria grub—off-white bland mashed potatoes covered in a lumpy brown sauce served with a hunk of something she preferred not to analyze with desiccated looking green peas. “I said we caught a spy model, or are about to. Stanley’s drugging him as we speak.” “Cyborgs can’t be drugged.” She spoke without thinking, but Jerry didn’t catch her adamant claim, probably because it was common knowledge that human drugs didn’t work on cyber units.
