The Eye Of The Forest (2009) - Plot & Excerpts

I really liked it and have few bad to say about this book. The only thing I thought was a downside was that it started kind of slow but at one point it just took off and I got through it in no time. It started when Mrs Gunt, in the body of her housekeeper, Mrs Trum decides to get her old body by going to Brazil where her body can be fixed so that it will be hers again, the reason for this is because her family has treater her as if she was just the family housemaid and her original body was burned to dust. Meanwhile the twins go to a Djinnverso tournament and there are confronted by the Blue Djinn Faustina that they must go into the Amazon and both plant trees to restore balance to the earth but also to seek out a prophocy that might uccur in the following days because the Eye to the ancient city El Dorato has reportatly been found. Joining them on the trip is a fellow Djinn named Zadie who is more than a burden rather than to be of any help. This book gets back to what I loved about the series. It began to dwindle a little bit, but this book was a stellar return to all that I loved about the first books. Tons of twists and turns, excellent plot development, and very enjoyable. I am not the biggest fan of the partial deux ex machina ending, but I find that there is one of those in each more recent book. I look forward to another book with anticipation and high hopes! There were a few questions left in the end...

I really need to stop reading books for 10 year olds... But they're so addicting!
