This is another of those mildly amusing almost mystery stories. I read the first in the series--Dance of the Winnebagos. It takes place in Arizona where there is a large family of women--all hoping to hook up with the right man, etc. Claire Morgan is quite a handyman type--can do plumbing, etc. She and her two sisters are dismayed when their mother shows up for a visit. There is an antique watch which a bunch of them get excited about--German--probably scammed by their now grandmother's former husband. The main problem seems to be finding places to have sex with various partners. Don't bother with this one--very lightweight! I love this and the Deadwood series, but this particular book had a slow start for me. I just hate when characters keep secrets. So many times I wanted to scream at ALL OF THEM...because if they had just shared what was bothering them then the problems would have been solved earlier. However, midway to the end, secrets did finally come out and they finally started helping each other and getting along. Love that Natalie was visiting. Perhaps in the next Deadwood book we'll see the other half of that phone conversation with Violet :)
The third in the Jackrabbit series, this latest addition is funny, entertaining, enjoyable.
