The Internet Is A Playground (2011) - Plot & Excerpts
Having encountered three or four of David's scribblings as they have been passed around the internet, and considering them to be wickedly funny, I came up with the brilliant idea of buying and downloading editions of his two books to my tablet. Unfortunately it turns out that said three or four bits are pretty much the extent of his wicked funniness. The balance tended to induce serial yawning which I generally take as a sign of boredom, though it could be the allergy tablets I've been taking which have a "may cause drowsiness" warning on them, though phrased in Spanish since I bought them in Buenos Aires. And I still have the other book awaiting attention. Damn. If you have already read his website, most of the chapters on this book will be pretty familiar to you. If not, then you are on for a book full of the best black humour and sarcasm out there. With an ability to come up with the best comebacks on a conversation and be extremely annoying, David Thorne manages to get some of the most funny conversations i have ever read on a single book. I fully reccomend it to open minded people who like to have a good laugh and don't mind going beyond moralistic barriers for this.
What do You think about The Internet Is A Playground (2011)?
One of the funniest books I've ever read. Really, ever.
