Bleach 45 takes an interesting turn. We have more of the same battle which has been going on for about a year now but it stepped up the story telling a little. We get Shinji vs Aizen and I must have wandered off mentally because I didn’t see how Aizen got out of Shinji’s very cool bankai or whatever it was (there are so many new powers I can’t keep them straight). We have all the Soul Reapers coming together to help Ichigo (who still hasn’t got that he’s not alone in this). We have some more touching moments for Tosen (but I still can’t figure out what happened to him so I’m calling it Aizen ‘magic.’)In all this fighting, we finally see General Yamamoto’s power. I don’t really give a crap about him, mind you since he’s been such a nominal character but his power was interesting at least. And I got more Toshiro, whom I do like. And the back cover has a really cute Halloween pic in color (the larger version in b&w was in #44). The library has the next three. I hope (really hope) this ends this story arc. It’s gone on too long. Bleach was definitely very interesting to read and different to what I usually read. I enjoyed the whole soul reaper concept and how we find out more and more about the main character as the story goes on.It's a fast read and is easy to understand but gets progressively more difficult to follow parts of the story due to there being so many different characters that can be qualified as important in the progression of the story.I would recommend it for the story line and the graphics but I do feel like there are a certain amount of plot holes or at least not detailed out enough parts. I give the series 3 stars, the beginning possibly deserving 4 stars and slowly falling to 3 stars.
Ohhh...things are building up! Or should I say burning up! I'm so excited for the next book.
