Bleach, Vol. 50: The Six Fullbringers (2011) - Plot & Excerpts
As all is explained, Ichigo is given the chance to get his Soul Reaper powers back, by taking the power of the Fullbringers who do not wish to have their power. Supposedly Chad is also one of them, but since it wasn't really elaborated I was a little confused on Chad's situation.I love how Riruka was so shocked that Ichigo was so cute. XD Ichigo starts his training in a little doll box against a person stuck in a doll called 'Mr. Pork', and the only way to defeat him is to uncover his Fullbring powers. He uses his deputy badge to help him, with the advice and reminders of supportive Chad, (who was unnecessarily screaming at Ichigo).Defeating Mr. Pork, he now feels some power coming back to him, and Orihime is confronted by Shishigawara and Tsukishima, who stabs her but it doesn't hurt her. They disappear just as Ichigo and Chad come, but she starts saying weird things and doesn't tell them the truth.Knowing that something is up, Ichigo goes to train some more and the volume ends with him going inside a tank to fight Jackie Tristan, another Fullbringer. There seems to be so many different forms of Ichigo's power, and after all the repetitiveness the only thing different really is the end result. What seems to always happen is that Ichigo meets a ton of new people, usually of a different 'type' of species, (ex. Espadas, Visoreds, Arrancars, Fullbringers, etc.). This means the reader has another half dozen character names to learn and their personalities to get used to. Ichigo trains really hard for a while, obtains a new ability and then goes to fight the main bad-guy boss.Repetitive, right? Although it is kind of expected since this happens so much, it still seems interesting to see how Ichigo can train differently and what the end result is.Maybe the pattern will be broken. You never know. Well, that certainly happened. For a lot of 'events', I don't feel like I've walked away with any exciting, crucial information regarding Kuga Ginjo and his group. Hopefully, that is what volume 51 i for. Still, nice to see some of my favorites (Orihime, Uryuu, Chad/Sado) again! And Ichigo seems to be holding the Idiot Ball this volume - or his desire to regain his abilities is blinding him to common sense. Sigh.
