Der Letzte Kampf Des New Yorker Instituts: Die Chroniken Des Magnus Bane (2014) - Plot & Excerpts
5 stars! OH MY GOODNESS! I loved this story so much! Meet the Valentine's brand new Circle in this short story as they face off Magnus Bane and the Whitelaws of the New York institute in a quest to satisfy Valentine's ulterior motives.It was exciting to find out more about the Circle, its dirty businesses, the ultimate Uprising and the Circle's defeat that led Jocelyn Fairchild at Magnus's doorstep with little Clary. I think this is the most important short story out of all the stories in the Bane Chronicles. Its intense, well developed and fascinating to read. I would call this my fav short story in the series. Definitely recommended. I re-read the entire Mortal Instruments series a few months ago in preparation for CoHF, but I still wanted to read something quick today to re-immerse myself in the Shadowhunter world since I'M BUYING CITY OF HEAVENLY FIRE AT MIDNIGHT TONIGHT AHHHH.Anyways, I thought this was the best of the Bane Chronicles (which isn't saying too much, because as a whole I really think this series of novellas is lacking-- even though of course I love Magnus.). It was nice to see Tessa again, as well as members of the Circle in their glory days.
