I've been reading these books since 7th grade. I'm in 12th now, about to graduate. I like to just pick up the new copies of these books whenever I happen to come across them in the library. They're very bubblegum and are good for taking my mind off stressful things and immediately diving back into a world I know pretty well. While I do like the series, I've gotta say that as it progresses I find Nikki to be more and more and more irrational. Her thoughts process really baffles me sometimes and I never really understand where she's coming from or why she always assumes random things that complicate everything. Anywho, I'll always find these books when I want to escape my own problems or just want to chill out I think it is a really good book and you can just really get into it very easily and the exciting part always starts at the start of the book which a lot of people look for. It's currently about a dork called Nikki Maxwell and she hates her life but has two best friends and a crush Brandon, but there is a girl called Mackenzie shaped as a nasty thorne of the ribs of Nikki. Everything in the book is nice and Rachel Rennee Russell is a great writer and if i were her i would just keep on writing Dork Diaries books!
