Any Dr. Who fans out there? I think you will find some delightful surprises in this second installment of the Umbrella Academy. It's not that this has Dr. Who references per se, but there are definitely some similarities that fans I think will recognize. The art work is fun, playful and colorful and the story reads like Pixar's The Incredibles but for adult audiences. I have been on a huge graphic novel kick lately and found this series delightfully refreshing even after reading the second one. I can't wait to see what this series has in store! A masterpiece in the modern age of comic books. This second volume of The Umbrella Academy is the same as good as the first one and maybe even better. Here, the lives of the member of the Umbrella Academy continues and while both volumes show development on all members, certainly in the first volume the main character is The White Violin, in here, the second volume, it's Number Five. I don't want to spoil much since many of the excitement comes from the unexpected suprises. I just can assure that the concepts and storytelling is just overwhelming. You can't pick a better choice to read in new titles of comic books. Gerard Way & Gabriel Ba deliver again a brilliant book. Highly recommended!
What do You think about Şemsiye Akademisi: Dallas (2014)?
Liked it, but not as much as the first one. The story line got too convoluted.
