First off, this review is in regards to the book as a whole. I have to start off by saying I love the world building. Zaires obviously put a lot of thought into the world specifics. So while on one hand I am thoroughly impressed at her detail, on the other hand at times the explanations got a bit lengthy and boring. But at least it all made sense. The sex was hot enough the first couple of times, but after a while the repetition bored me and I just skipped those parts. I was rolling my eyes at how "Startled" & "Surprised" she was - how every time she "Gasped" over his immediate intrusion. What I found interesting as well about the book was how similar it was to things I've written or thought about. It's almost as if Zaires picked through all my little tid bit writings and thoughts for some story lines and wrote them first ... and definitely better. So If I liked it so much why only 3 stars? Because I hated Mia. Talk about whiny and hard to please. And really - how much sleep does a human need? I get 6 hours nightly, no naps. While I liked Korum, I did not fall in love with him. I also felt like in the book Korum completely changed but Mia didn't.All in all I really liked it but not in the all encompassing "New book boyfriend" "I can't set it down" kind of way. In fact many times I did set it down... just because. I have listened to the audio book and read the ebook for all three of The Krinar Chronicles. I was happily surprised by the ending of this book. This was the first series about aliens that I have read/listened to. I really like the change in Korum and in Mia. Korum was less controlling and showed his feeling for Mia. I hope the author gives updates on this couple and any future family they have in the future. This book was a great end to Korum and Mia's story.
