Overall, good story. Didn't like it as much as book one, but it's still good. At first I was upset that it wasn't told in Calder's perspective, but I do see why. It wouldn't really work in his. So if book one is told in Calder's, and book two in Lily's... It makes me wonder if book three will be alternate. (That would be awesome.) I really want to read book three, but sadly I can't get my hands on it. The ending was the best part--especially the last line. Book two just keeps on improving. My favourite so far. This one is in Lily's perspective, and I have to say that it is a little bit different then Calder's. She is more passive, not as aggressive. She also tends to think things through a little bit more then him. What I really liked was that this entire book wasn't about the two of them spending time together. In fact, most of the book they were apart. That meant that their time together was more meaningful and sweeter as they were less frequent. I felt bad for Lily, I mean who is jealous over the fact that her boyfriend would rather spend time with her dad then her. Lily starts to change in this one. She becomes more outspoken and confident in herself. She also learns to trust a little bit more. I saw the ending coming from a mile away, but I still loved the way that this book flowed. Definitely my favourite so far. Greenwood Brown did a great job of keeping the series interesting and the plot twists coming!
What do You think about L'écume Des Mensonges (2000)?
It was a little hard to get into, but by the middle of the book I couldn't tare myself away from it.
