Being a teenager is hard, but being a teenager with Tourette's is even harder. And what could be worse, having special powers that make you different from everyone else. The prison Michael thinks he is one of a kind until he meets Taylor a cheerleader who can also has special powers. They team up together to save Michael's mom from from the rich evil doctor hatch. Michael,Taylor and their genus friend Ostin find themselves prisoners surrounded by kids just like them. In conclusion if you like action books you will like this book. Michael Vey is a 16 year old boy born in Pasadena, California. This town was small but it had many innovations. One was at the hospital Michael was born at and where his father worked at, (this is not completely confirmed but evidence helps to conclude that it is. ) . The innovation was an Electromagnetic machine to help detect and evaporated sicknesses such as tumors and cancers, but with this good comes the consequences. This Machine caused 42 children to die and 20 to have "abnormalities". These Abnormalities gave the 19 children to have Electric powers and have electricity to pulse through them. Michael is the most powerful of the 17 now alive, " three have died over the 16 years of Micheal's life do to the electricity being too powerful and causing cancer.". Michael and his girlfriend Taylor, who also has electric powers, have to fight a powerful villain named Hatch who controls the other 15 electric kids. Throughout the book, these forces fight against each other and they seem to be an equal force on both sides. I love this book and look forward to reading the others in the series and i have that you read them too. You'll like this book and the series if you like science fiction, action and adventure, or mystery.
