Pete the Cat books are always fun and we look forward to reading them! This one isn't the best we've read but it's not on the bottom of the pile either. Pete the Cat asks others what their favorite thing he could wear to school to make him look cool... everyone has something different they like. So he puts everything one that they all like; he thinks he looks silly and is getting hot. So he takes everything off and decides to put on what is HIS favorite and HE thinks he looks cool! So he wants readers to know to be themselves to be the best you you can be. Pete's asking everyone what to wear? If he's asking his teacher, where is he getting his clothes from? Is his teacher at his house? Does Pete bring his clothes to school? The title is a bit off putting, I don't want any child to think they are too cool for school. Yikes! The saving grace for the book are the illustrations and the repetitive phrases. I think the publishers must be riding the coat tails of this character which is very sad. If you are going to publish such a book, make it a great one!!
This mis-matched cat is too awesome! My 5 year old and I love his smooth style!

This early reader is much better than the other Pete the Cat readers!
