Skippyjon is back! This time he takes us along on his adventure to find out with Mars is the red planet. Loaded with humor, this book will keep audiences engaged. Schachner, J. B. (2009). Skippyjon Jones-- lost in spice. New York: Dutton Children's Books.I would recommend this book for a primary classroom's introduction to space. It is also just a fun read if you have a few extra minutes during the day!Publishers Weekly 09/14/09School Library Journal 11/01/09 Picture BookThe Skippyjon Jones series are really fun to read aloud to kids and Lost in Spice is no different. Skippyjon pretends to travel to the red planet but makes a big mistake of using one of Mama's special spices. The wording of this book is really entertaining which makes the literary element very special. This book could be used to begin the discussion, for students in the elementary school age, about whether or not there is life on other planets.
Wes and I listened to the audio version of this book. I think he enjoyed listening to the story.
