Tales From A Not-So-Popular Party Girl (2010) - Plot & Excerpts

After Nikki beat Mackenzie in the art competition, the WCD Halloween Dance was coming up. Nikki wanted to help out with the dance along with Chloe and Zoey. They were also going to go together as a group of friends until her crush, Brandon asked her to go with him. Nikki then got asked to help out with her little sister, Brianna's party. Can Nikki pull it off? I really enjoyed reading this book. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys hilarious books with lots of pictures. This book is a very easy read for kids. In some parts it was a little over dramatic but other than that, this book was awesome! I always wanted to know what happened next in this book and it was vary hard to put down. I really loved this book! In this book of the series, the evil Mackenzie backs out of planning the Halloween party to make it look like it's Nikki's fault. But Nikki rises to the challenge. Only a couple of problems: She's expected to attend the "ballet Party" for her little sister's class on the same night. She's asked to the dance by her crush, Brandon, but doesn't know how to tell her BFFs, Chloe and Zoey. So she tries to do all three wearing three different costumes and running into all kinds of problems. It's clear to see why these are so popular with my students. The moral of this one is to always tell your BFFs what's going on in your life, rather than trying to please everyone at the same time.
