This was kind of absurd and fun but in my opinion it should have been even more absurd-er. Anyone buying this book knows that it's supposed to be funny just from the title, but it really wasn't that funny. The author's humor reminds me a lot of my own humor when I write but there just wasn't enough of it. So it seemed like he/she took the book too seriously, much of the time it read like regular sci-fi but that wasn't what I wanted or expected. I wanted to laugh at a zany, ridiculous sci-fi romp.Then there was time travel involved and I hate time travel so that didn't help. BUT it still gets 3 stars because I did enjoy it. Ich liebe die Bücher von Martinez und Terror der Tentakel schafft es ernsthaft an mein Lieblingsbuch von Martinez (Zu viele Flüche) heran zu kommen. Die wahnwitzige Story, der herrliche Humor, die skurrilen Charaktere und der flüssige Schreibstil haben mich auch wieder begeistert. Auch wenn die Perspektive des Ich Erzählers für mich neu war aus Martinez Feder, so hat dies der Story nur gut getan. Danke auch hier wieder das jedes Kapitel so eine Liebevolle Umrahmung mit Tentakel erhalten hat, und das auch hier wieder die gnadenlos lustigen Widmungen von Martinez übernommen wurden. Ein Buch nur zu empfehlen für alle die Martinez sowieso schon lieben und all jene die auf Storys mit Witz und Wahnsinn stehen.

A fun read, if a bit drug out at times. Basically a graphic novel type story in novel format.
