This really is a 4.5 star book. Just at the very end though, I feel as though it was a little rushed. I loved the evolution of the characters over the course of the three novels and it's definitely a book I would pick up again. It had the right amount of rough love for me and I was engrossed with the descriptive storytelling. There was a good deal of humour in the first book that seemed to dissipate over time and I wish that it had maintained throughout. That could have been me though. I discovered that there is a spin-off with Sawyer and after reading an excerpt, I am thoroughly excited to read that. He was a great character in this trilogy so I'm glad to see that Ms Dominguez has decided to develop his character even more. Well, sadly I've completed The Art of D's series..... Now I can go into withdrawals from missing the characters I came to know and love so well this week. Dylan did redeem himself in my eyes, however, at one point I wasn't sure if he was going to. Isa was my hero. The lengths she went to keep Dylan safe at the risk of her own happiness was to be commended. And, Sawyer.... Awwww Sawyer.... I can't wait to see you again!! Ella, you are my new fav-or-ite writer. Pu-lease for my sanity and super charged sex life keep these books coming.
