I read this book during the Thanksgiving Holiday when I was enraptured by another book by Ms. Dominguez. I loved this book. I love how there is a fusion of erotic literature and comedy. The characters were charming and frustrating. The were so compatible that they clashed and clashed intensely. The sex scenes were hot. I'm always excited for a D/s story and this one didn't disappoint when detailing a new D/s relationship. The couple's journey was filled with angst and delight. I'm definitely happy with the conclusion. I'll read anything Ms. Dominguez writes because she is a talent with an amazing voice. ....*sigh*I really wish I knew why the current trend for erotica leans towards overbearing pigs as leads. It is in no way attractive and makes any of the 'sexual' advances seem more like sexual assault.The erotic scenes, were admittedly erotic and for the most part well written though at times I swear they weren't thought through (how exactly does one put their tongue in someone elses mouth whilst simultaneously nibbling the other persons bottom lip?). But the whole thing was spoiled by the pig of a man who was masquerading as a male lead...I have nothing against one person being dominant in a relationship, but when someone refuses to let the other person have an opinion (or voice that opinion) you are once again out of the realms of normalcy (see above for the sexual advances becoming sexual assault).I will say that I thought Lillian's initial reluctance to try bondage/domination to be quite realistic, but the whole point of that kind of sexual relationship is trusting the other person and I saw very little 'true' trust coming from her... it was more "oh boy I want him and if I have to act in a certain way to get him I will". Also, why the hell would you not have condomless sex with a guy because of 'fear of STDs' when you have already had him in your mouth... I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure STDs can be transmitted orally. To me distinguishing 'safe sex' as being condoms required for intercourse only is totally and utterly insane.All in all, I was not impressed with this book and I wouldn't be rushing to read this author again.
